Two dear friends are celebrating their recent marriage after having been together for many years, and this to me makes it all the sweeter. Highly Descriptive Chocolates
I am spending this weekend learning how to describe theatrical performances for vision compromised patrons.
It is a highly specialized skill, and I have been in awe, watching and listening to four of my skilled colleagues as they describe 2 hour long performances, inserting descriptions between dialogue, and painting the picture of the story, without any subjective terms or personal interjections, so as to leave the patron with a clear, objective view of the story.

An Experiment in Good Taste
I feel like phoning my younger son’s super-cool Science teacher, and inviting her over to the kitchen for this week’s exploration.
I really want to put on my lab coat (I was given one, by a doctor friend, for auditions. I have, I think quite convincingly, played many a nurse/lab technician on TV), and my elder son’s chemistry glasses. Okay, maybe that is taking it a little too far.
